ELIGIBILITY: The Teachers Deserve a Getaway “Contest” is open to adult teachers and educators who are currently employed teachers, behavioral therapists, educators at accredited schools in the United States for the 2020-2021 school year. The Contest is void everywhere else and where prohibited. The Contest is sponsored by SkipTown (“Sponsor”),. Employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives of Sponsor, the legal, promotion and advertising agencies of any aforementioned entity, and their immediate family members and those living in their household, and each person or entity connected with the production or administration of the Contest, and each parent company, affiliate, subsidiary, agent and representative of any aforementioned entity are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

The Contest Submission Period begins at 12:00 am MST on 5/20/2021 and ends at 11:59pm MST on 06/04/2021. (the “Contest Submission Period”). ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED DURING THE CONTEST SUBMISSION PERIOD. By participating, Contestants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Judges and/or Sponsors, which are binding and final on matters relating to this Contest.

HOW TO ENTER: Here’s how to enter: Fill out all parts of the form (1) Your contact information, (2) Educator’s contact information, (3) 100 word essay describing why this teacher deserves a getaway. To nominate a teacher, you must have their permission to provide their contact information, and you agree to these Terms and Conditions. All entries received by the end of the Submission Period that are complete and otherwise qualified will be eligible to win (“Qualified Submissions”). Sponsor will not acknowledge receipt of Submissions. You may only submit one nomination.

JUDGING: Judging will be completed in one (1) round. All entries will be prescreened to ensure the entries have correctly met the Submission Guidelines and meet with Sponsor’s general standards and practices prior to any judging.

Beginning on or about 06/05/2021, Qualified Submissions will be reviewed and scored by Sponsor’s panel of qualified judges, according to the following 100-point scale:

Best description of bold, generous, “rockstar” educator that goes above and beyond in teaching: 75 points
Most creative reason they deserve to “skiptown”: 25 points.

Selected Contestants will be required to respond (as directed) to the phone and/or e-mail notification within the Seventy-Two (72) hours of attempted notification. The failure to respond timely to the notification may result in forfeiture of the Getaway; and, in such case, Sponsor may choose the next highest scoring entry from among the remaining eligible entries. Each Selected Entrant also will be sent a declaration of eligibility / liability / publicity release (“Release”), and provide proof of teaching status upon request. Unless restricted by law, each Selected Entrant will be required to complete and return the Release within ten (10) days of date notice sent.

The Winning Submissions of Selected Contestants, Selected Contestant’s full name, and the name of the school/institution in which the Contestant teaches may be announced and posted on Sponsor’s website, in Sponsor’s discretion.

PRIZE (“getaway”). Selected Contestant will receive: One (1) Discount Code to be redeemed for one (1) vacation package (plane or road trip).

Average Value of Prize: (2) Two Discount Codes Valued at Five Hundred Dollars ($500) each; Total - One Thousand Dollars ($1000).

For all prizes (getaway discount code), all federal, state and local taxes and other expenses in connection with the prize (getaway discount code) not expressly described herein as being awarded are the sole responsibility of the Selected Contestant. Selected Contestants are solely responsible for any other unspecified expenses related to prize (getaway discount code). Selected Contestants cannot assign their prize (getaway) to another person. No substitution of prize (getaway discount code) provided however that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (getaway discount code) with another prize of equal or greater value. In the event of noncompliance with the foregoing requirements or if prize (getaway discount code) notification is returned as undeliverable, prize (getaway discount code) will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate Selected Contestants with the next highest score will be chosen.

CONDITIONS. Contest is subject to these Official Rules. By participating, contestants agree: (i) to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules, except where prohibited by law. By accepting a prize, Selected Contestant agrees to release Sponsor, including their parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities together with the respective directors, employees, officers, licensees, licensors and agents, and respective advertising and promotion entities and any person or entity associated with the production, judging, or administration of the Contest, (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability, loss or damage arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Contest, in its sole discretion, should it receive fewer than 5 entries, or receive no entries that have a judged score above 80 points, or due to circumstances beyond its control, including natural disasters. Sponsor may prohibit a Contestant from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines such Contestant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, deception, or any other unfair playing practices of intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, undermine or harass any other players or Sponsor representatives. Disputes regarding these Official Rules and/or this Contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of Colorado.

PUBLICITY. Sponsor reserves the right to use the Submissions to the Contest for publicity purposes prior to, during, or after the Contest end date, in any media, and to use the name, likeness, hometown name, of any Contestant, including all or part of their nomination throughout the world, in perpetuity, without any compensation or prior review unless specifically prohibited by law. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Contestant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or violating these Official Rules.

WAIVER OF JURY TRIAL. Except as prohibited by applicable law and as a condition of participating in this Contest, each Contestant hereby irrevocably and perpetually waives any right s/he may have to a trial by jury in respect of any litigation directly or indirectly arising out of, under or in connection with this contest, any document or agreement entered into in connection herewith, any prize available in connection herewith, and any of the transactions contemplated hereby or thereby.

PRIVACY. All personal information collected by Sponsor will be used for administration of the Sweepstakes and in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy. Entrants may be sent promotional material related to Sponsor’s products and services. Any questions regarding privacy matters should be directed to the address set out below.
