More frequent, Short Vacations Better for Mental Health- Take a Fall Road Trip!
Fall is here, and for many these means that vacation season feels like it’s coming to an end. As a teacher I completely relate to the feeling that summer is the time for a much-needed break from the daily grind. Taking a vacation is so important to our mental health, helping prevent burnout and actually boosting productivity when you’re back at the office.
Havent gotten to take your vacation quite yet? Did I stress you out? Hey, you’ve still got time!! Listen, who says you need to cash in all your vacation days at once? Get this… according to experts, taking several smaller vacations over the course of the year can be more beneficial to your well-being than taking a long getaway.
Give yourself the gift of travel happiness boosts throughout the year by taking a few weekend trips, maybe quarterly! Be able to truly disconnect since it is less time to be away, and you will have less email/work pileup for when you return. Plus, you’ll save money by being away for fewer days!
“If you spend all your vacation days on a two-week summer trip, you’ll be left with 50 weeks of work without a break. But if you take multiple short trips throughout the year, you’ll have many getaways to look forward to and you’ll be more motivated to work harder when you’re at the office.”
Do have your fall getaway on the books yet? (P.s fall is my favorite time to travel! The weather is good, the summer crowds have thinned, prices are more affordable… and fall leaves anyone?!)
No time to plan? You’ve come to the right place! Set your travel budget, take a 10 minute survey and leave the rest to me! I’ll tell you when and where to show you and I promise you’ll have an unforgettable vacation… taking care of your mental health? Check.
